Lite is the new member to the CQUARTZ family of coatings. It offers similar characteristics to CQUARTZ Classic and UK 3.0, of shine, hydrophobic and environmental protection...in an easy way and with a duration of 6 months.
New alternative for professional detailers
CARPRO is always innovating and bringing to market products that detailers and enthusiasts need. The new product is CQUARTZ Lite. A coating that brings CQUK 3.0 technology in an easier to apply way. It also combines the ingredients of SiO2 and TiO2 with 45% solids to offer excellent protection and shine. Available in 150ml Kit and only the 100ml (5 oz.) bottle.

How Lite compares to Reload, Gliss and Hydro
These three products last approximately 6 months. But the reality is a little different in our Puerto Rican environment. They also have different characteristics.
Lite vs Reload
- Reload is a sealant that has SiO2 that offers great repellency, shine and protection.
- In our Puerto Rico environment, Reload lasts approximately 3 to 4 months.
- Reload is easier to apply, because it looks a lot like a liquid wax or quick detailer.
- Lite, CQUARTZ coatings, it needs to be applied to a very clean surface free of oils and contamination.
Lite vs Hydro
- Hydro is also a sealant with SiO2, which is applied in an easier and more innovative way.
- In our Puerto Rico environment, Reload lasts approximately 3 to 4 months.
- I consider it to be more hydrophobic than Reload
Lite vs Gliss
- Gliss offers a smoother surface and greater resistance to minerals. Designed to go on top of CQUARTZ or as stand-alone protection.
- With a duration of 3 to 6 months.
Lite contains CQUK 3.0 ingredients and higher solids compared to Reload, Hydro or Gliss; offers greater protection. Since I tested it before it came to market, I have been able to see that it has greater resistance to our environment and also greater resistance to chemicals than Reload, Hydro, and Gliss.
How to Prepare the Surface:
The same as using Classic or CQUK, the better the surface preparation (paint) is, but the final result. My recommendation is at a minimum to require decontamination, light polishing to ensure a thorough cleaning of the paint, then remove the oils and apply CQUARTZ Lite. Essence primer is perfect for the light polishing step, it gives me tremendous shine and cleanliness of the paint.
