Liquid waxes or "quick detailers" offer a little cleaning (minimal), shine and a little protection. They are ideal for touching up or removing stains after washing. Also lately they are used a lot when drying to have lubrication while using the drying towels; this is to minimize the risk of marking the paint.
In recent years, technology has allowed these products to increase the protection they offer, in some cases it can last from a month to a month and a half. Typically, the shine or properties of the product last one to two weeks (that's traditional).
